Formed near the university town of Oxford in 1991, Radiohead quickly caught the attention of London record labels. Its first album, PABLO HONEY, yielded the fortuitous hit Creep, which pigeonholed the band as British grunge rockers, a label it forcefully rejected with the release of its next album, THE BENDS. SIGUR ROS - BA BA TI KI DI DO [IMPORT]

BA BA TI KI DI DO The members of Sigur Ros performed them live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York radiohead band member and again in Paris. On these occasions the band improvised a 20-minute section of music over a previously recorded backing track using two sheet-fed music boxes, a glockenspiel radiohead band member and a specially homemade percussive instrument (dubbed bummsett in Icelandic) comprising eight ballet shoes on a rack. The backing tracks incorporated recordings of Merce Cunninghams voice radiohead band member and the sound of his tap-dancing feet, as well as the sounds of the dancers footfalls, recorded at the Companys studio in Manhattan. The results of the live improvisation (which came to mirror some elements of the choreography) were recorded at the bands studio outside Reykjavik, Iceland in late Nov 2003. The three sections are designed to be played in any order.
